Another thing to you should do is to accentuate your landscaping with flowers and plants at the sides of the windows. This can be done by honeysuckle, ivy, and even wisteria.

Be careful when choosing the plants for the wet places. For example it is a good idea to use water gardens and lily pads in the ponds and fountains. For the surroundings of the pool, select plants that don’t need much pesticides and fertilizers so that swimmers are safe. Around the swimming pool you can use natural grass and shrubs that flower.

If you don’t want to spend much time taking care of your plants, select natural plants that are low maintenance. For instance ground cover plants, cactuses, evergreen shrubbery can be used. They will look great, and need little care. Pine straws and nuggets can also serve as low maintenance plants, especially if you don’t have a gardener.

By taking into account where your plants will be place, what they will serve for, and what the geographical area is suitable for, you should do enough research and then select the plants that are right for you.
